Everything you ever did, said, saw, felt, smelt, tasted, touched, experienced.
Gone.
In an instant.
Forever.
Fear is a biological mechanism, a survival tool we have evolved to help keep us alive.
This existential fear and underlying anxiety,
yes, it Helps keep us alive.
But ironically, keeps us from living as well.
You aren’t living unless you are pushing your comfort zone, having new experiences, connecting with new people, feeling new emotions, experiencing new pleasures and learning new skills.
We have archaic brains, designed for a world we lived in a long time ago, where death was an everyday possibility.
The world we live in now is VERY different. No longer do we live every moment of every day just trying to stay alive.
However, our brain still functions as if we were still living in this dangerous world.
To the point where our brain literally responds the same way to approaching a hot girl as it would approaching a hungry lion.
Which is absolutely crazy!
This is also very strong evidence that your emotions are not always right, in fact they’re usually wrong.
You need to follow the correct action, not what your emotions are telling you.
So if you aren’t having the experiences you want in your life, it is completely up to you to begin taking the right action that is proven to get you to where you want to go.
If you are sick of living in fear, feeling shame about your inability to go for what you want, feeling as if your time is slipping away faster and faster.
There is a popular Chinese proverb that states:
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.
The second best time to plant a tree is now”.
Start taking action, planting those metaphorical seeds, break out of the prison that fear has constructed for you.
And start going for what you want!
You deserve it my friend.
It’s time you stop letting fear drive your decisions, and put it in the passenger seat.
“Look at me!
You’re the captain now!”
